Planroom Privacy Policy

Planroom is published by HALVROX. This policy explains what the app does with
your data. It is short because the app collects very little.
No account, no profile
Planroom has no sign-up and no user accounts. We do not know who you are, and we
hold no profile about you.
What stays on your device
Everything the app produces is stored locally: 3D scans, room dimensions, floor
plans, estimates, generated designs, your company details and logo for PDF
letterheads. None of it is uploaded to us. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
What leaves your device, and when
- Photos, only at the moment you ask for a design. The photo is
sent through a proxy server we operate on Cloudflare Workers to
OpenAI, which generates the image and returns it. The proxy exists
so that our API key never ships inside the app; it does not store your photos.
OpenAI does not use content submitted through its API to train its models, and
retains it only for a limited period for abuse monitoring, after which it is
deleted. If you never request a design, no photo ever leaves your device.
- Speech, only while the microphone button is held. Dictation of
dimensions uses Apple's speech recognition. It runs on your device whenever the
device supports it for your language; otherwise the audio is processed on Apple's
servers under Apple's privacy policy. Nothing is sent to us.
- Purchases. Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple. We
receive only the fact that a subscription is active. We never see your name, card
details or billing address.
- Advertising measurement (Meta). The app includes the Meta
(Facebook) SDK so we can tell whether our ads on Facebook and Instagram lead to
installs. It sends Meta app events such as app launches, the start of a free
trial and subscription purchases. We do not collect your advertising identifier
(IDFA), we do not ask for permission to track you, and the data is not linked to
your identity. Meta processes it under its own
privacy policy.
What we do not do
No advertising identifiers, no tracking across apps or websites, no location
collection, no selling or sharing of data with anyone beyond the processing described
above.
Permissions the app asks for
- Camera — to scan the room and to take photos for design.
- Motion — the LiDAR scan needs device movement data to build an
accurate model.
- Photo library — to let you pick an existing photo instead of
taking a new one.
- Microphone and speech recognition — to dictate dimensions
instead of typing them.
Each permission is optional. Declining one disables the matching feature and
nothing else.
Children
Planroom is not directed at children and is not designed for use by them.
Your rights
Because your data lives on your device, you already have full control of it:
deleting the app erases everything. If you are in the European Union or the United
Kingdom and want to exercise a right of access, correction or erasure regarding
anything we might hold, write to
v.mavrodi@halvrox.com and we will respond within 30 days. The
legal basis for the processing described above is performance of our contract with
you — providing the feature you asked for.
International transfers
OpenAI processes images on servers in the United States. Transfers rely on the
standard contractual clauses in OpenAI's data processing agreement.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will
be noted in the app's release notes.
